Days of the week!

When teaching students to learn the days of the week the teacher will start out showing the students a calendar and will point to each day of the week saying the name out loud. While pointing to each day, the teacher will discuss what kind of activities are done on that day. For example: on Sunday's you might go to church, Monday's through Friday's you go to school, and maybe on Saturday's you go to the grocery store. This will give the students something to associate each day with. Also, each day the teacher and students will discuss what today is, what yesterday was, and what tomorrow will be; this will give the students a sense of order.
After discussing the names of the days and activities that happen on each day the teacher will then play the following video to help the students learn to memorize the names of each day and the order that they go in.
